What Is Radio Frequency Microneedling???

At The Laser Clinic Morpeth we use the Focus Dual, a new non-surgical skin tightening treatment that also achieves lifting, firming and contouring. The Focus Dual uses a combination of radiofrequency and microneedling to inflict controlled trauma to the skin, which triggers the body’s healing response of collagen and elastin production. Both technologies used in this treatment stimulate collagen in different ways.

Microneedling with Radio Frequency utilises super-fine “microneedles” for safe, precise and more comfortable treatments. The Focus Dual punctures the surface of the skin to prompt the body’s natural healing processes. New tissue and collagen are produced, helping to improve a variety of skin concerns.

As the microneedles penetrate the skin, radiofrequency energy directs heat to the more superficial dermis and epidermis layers of the skin. This also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. The heat zones created help with collagen induction, which remodels and strengthens collagen cells to tighten the skin. Inducing thermal trauma stimulates neocollagenesis (collagen production) in deep layers of the skin. This creates stronger, firmer and more lifted skin to address concerns such as wrinkles and loose skin. 

With the Focus Dual, you receive two treatments in one. Results are more effective when radio frequency and Microneedling are combined, in comparison to having either treatment individually.

Are The Results Of RF Microneedling Permanent?

Results can be seen after one treatment, however 3 to 6 treatments at 3-4 week intervals are recommended for best long-term results. Clients typically notice an improvement in skin texture 2 to 3 weeks following the initial treatment. Results are very natural and improve over time, as your skin responds to the treatment for up to 12 weeks.

You can expect results to last for up to 2 years, depending on the intensity of your treatments, your age, skin type and the area of application.
